Share the Good News
Series: Stand Alone
Our special guest speaker, Chaplain Jay LeRette, shares with us some of the many adventures the Holy Spirit has and continues to lead him through, as he shares the Good News of Jesus Christ with those people God brings into his life. Jay has served as the chaplain at the Petro Truck Stop Mobile Chapel in Rochelle, IL since its opening 25 years ago. In that time, he has seen hundreds of men and women come to know the Lord as Savior. In this message, Chaplin Jay encourages fellow believers to get outside the 4 walls of the church building and share the Good News wherever God has placed us in season and out of season just as 2 Timothy 4:2 implores us to do.

How are You Influenced by the Company You Keep?
    Series: Stand Alone
Having close friends can be a great blessing.  However, close relationships can either bring us closer to our Lord or draw us away from Him.  Sometimes it can be so subtle, we don't even recognize it.  Chris preaches on how God calls us to reserve our closest relationships for fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

Christ was Forsaken by God So that we can Call Today Good Friday
If you are a follower of Jesus, you've been bought at a price to be a servant on God's behalf.  Have we ever really considered how a great a cost our redemption was?  Chris preaches on how Christ's passion was very much tied to a prophetic Psalm 1,000 years before His crucifixion.

Sinless Jesus was Falsely Convicted and Denied
When we reflect upon the Old Testament, we find that many followers of the Lord were falsely accused such as Joseph and Jeremiah.  Yet none of them was as severely abused and rejected as the unique Son of God, Jesus the Messiah.  Yet he willingly allowed Himself to be ridiculed, denied, rejected, brutally beaten, and nailed to the cross.  Chris preaches on how Jesus' actions were the fulfillment of the prophetic words of scripture and calls for us to follow our Lord with our lives.

The King Endures Betrayal and Abandonment
Imagine you've known your entire life that you will willingly die for the sake of humanity.  Then imagine you also know that your closest friends will abandon you.  This is the predicament Jesus was in shortly after they shared the Passover meal.  Chris preaches on Jesus' self-control and willingness to die even for those who desired to kill him and how we've been uniquely empowered to follow Him in imitating His great love.

Yielding to the Will of God
When you follow Christ and have the gift of the Holy Spirit, you feel Him prompting you toward God's perfect will (both in the little and the big things).  Yet with the pull of our desires and the temptations of the enemy, we so often go in another direction.  Chris preaches on examples in scripture where many rejected God's will and contrasts with Jesus who was the only one who ever followed God's will in everything.
