Dec 26, 2021What’s in Christmas : The Good NewsBy: Brent BraskiSeries: What's In ChristmasIn the final message of our What's in Christmas message series, elder Brent looks at a problem that no one likes to address this time of year, but this problem separates us from God, relationships, and good things. The problem is sin. Sin entered the world through one man, Adam. God's solution to our sin was to send His Son, Jesus, to live a perfect life on earth and overcome death. Jesus willingly accepted the mission that God placed before Him. If you are a Christ-follower, God has a mission for you as well, to tell others about the gift God has given to each of us. If you are not a Christ-follower and want to know how to become one, you can call the church office at 815-561-6249 or send an email to questions@lwccr.com.

Dec 24, 2021What’s in Christmas : HopeBy: Brent BraskiSeries: What's In ChristmasIn our Christmas Eve service, elder Brent focuses on the hope that Christmas brings. We tend to place our hope in many things, yet the hope that Christmas brings is the hope that something certain is going to happen that hasn't yet come to pass. When your hope is anchored in Jesus Christ, you have an unmovable hope. May we, as Christ-followers share the hope we have in Jesus with strangers, friends, and family not only at Christmastime but all year long.
- Dec 19, 2021What’s in Christmas : Joy
Dec 19, 2021What’s in Christmas : JoyBy: Brent BraskiSeries: What's In ChristmasIn this message, elder Brent illuminates that in the busyness of the Christmas season, we often lose focus as we scramble to make this season perfect for those around us. In the made dash to please others we often lose sight of the only thing that can bring us genuine joy, which is Jesus. Joy is not an emotion like happiness. We can not manufacture it in our own power and yet it is the very gift from God that allows us to shine Christ's light, especially when things don't go the way we plan. May God help us to stay focused on Him this Christmas season, so that through our joy we can shine bright for His glory and point other's to Him.
